I had very bad acne and was in my early 20s. I tried several over the counter
acne creams, and lotions and nothing seemed to work. I have very oily skin. I
started seeing Proactive advertised everywhere and had a friend that had tried
and she said for her it worked great. I decided to give it a try. I had no
noticeable changes until after the second week. It did work exactly as
advertised. Until... I stopped using it as regularly. I figured the Proactive
would keep its effects so I stopped using it every day. The pimples and
blemishes did return without every day use. I am now slowly stopping using it to
see if and when the effects will become permanent. I have also started to use
more moisturizer which seems to help the effects last longer without using the
Proactive as much. I would highly recommend Proactive for problem skin that does
not react to any other form of treatment. It did work for me and I will keep
using it if I need to.

I have tried almost everything using the Proactiv cleanser and on occasion the small bottle repair lotion and the toner as needed is the most practical effective acne treatment Ive found. Murad only made it worse but I found that many products with its main ingredient cause problems for me. I have also been on Accutane in the past RetinA, Differin and the list goes on and on. It is expensive but lasts a long time and doesnt need to be used all the time maybe once a day to be effective.
