Review:
MD Skin Care Professional AHA/BHA Peel by Dr. Dennis Gross. This is
probably the best peel I've ever seen used in a salon/spa. Its only chemical
peel I know of that was specifically designed for the Rosacea/ Sensitive/
Reactive skin conditions. It works wonders on ALL skin types and conditions
though. It's a 4 step process that takes about 5 minutes to perform. Step 1 is
the alpha and beta hydroxyl acids. It's a little uncomfortable, but nothing
close to painful like most strong chemical peels. I've never had a client ask me
to remove it before the two minute time limit. Step 2 is the neutralizer. There
is a slight surge in the "heat" that you'll feel, but it subsides within 30
seconds or so. Step 3 is called a targeted refiner. It's basically the same as
the neutralizer, but more specific for the areas that can absorb more of the
acid. Like the corners of the nose, around the chin, hairline, and around the
eyes. Step 4 is the skin conditioner. An antioxidant based moisturizer. There is
no recovery time. A client can continue his/her day with no obvious signs. Sun
block is required though. I recommend Dr. Grosses 3 in 1 tinted moisturizer with
spa. Results are an instant lifting and tightening effect. Smoothness is
increased and pores are smaller and less congested. For rosacea skin, redness or
ruddiness is gone. The thickness and excess oil are also gone. Any breakout or
irritation is gone. It's about $80 per treatment. He also has a home version that gives the same
effect over a 30 day period for those unsure about in-house peels.
