Effacernes is a high-quality product for a number of reasons. The makeup, available in a variety of shades to suit all skin tones, glides onto skin and is easily blendable. Even those users with dry skin around the eyes will be satisfied with the creamy consistency. The product is blended quickly with either a fingertip or concealer brush. As Lancome claims, Effacernes looks completely natural on skin and instantly awakens the facial appearance. This tester found it particularly helpful at concealing dark under eye circles and evening skin tone. Effacernes lasts throughout the day and repeated applications are unnecessary. Users do not need to use additional products over or under the concealer, although beginning with an eye moisturizer is helpful.
Although the benefits are numerous, there are a few downsides to this product. Although it lasts a long time, the concealer is not actually waterproof and comes off fairly easily when rubbed. It certainly does not last through a round of teary eyes at a film! Rather than hiding fine lines, it tends to settle into them, particular towards the outside of the eye. The tester found it helpful to apply the product only on the inside corner of the eye, as this prevented settling.
