The Greek skin care company, Korres, sells a Thyme Honey Mask for those with normal-to-dry skin. According to the company, the product provides deep hydration and is gentle on the face. Honey supposedly leaves a "mask" on the face, which seals moisture into the skin, leaves it nourished, and provides elasticity. Korres states that spirulina and quince, two other ingredients in the mask, revitalize the face and brighten the user's appearance. Overall, the mask meets most of these claims and is an effective product, worth the cost.
Among the mask's benefits, it is truly hydrating for dry skin. After one application, users feel a significant increase in facial moisture. The formula has a delicious, not-overly-sweet scent of real honey. Its silky, smooth consistency glides easily onto the face and is not uncomfortable as it dries, like some other masks. As the company claims, the product is gentle on even sensitive skin. While some masks dry "on top" of the skin, the Thyme Honey Mask truly seeps into pores and provides the deep hydration Korres promises.
Among the downsides of the product are that it is difficult to remove with water after it has dried. However, this tester observed that this is because the mask truly sinks into the skin to provide benefit. An additional negative is that the tester did not notice "brightening" of her appearance. The most significant downside of the mask is that hydration lasts for, at most, two days. This user wished results had lasted longer. Indeed, repeated and frequent usage is necessary to maintain the skin's moisture.
Overall, this mask is high quality and delivers the results which Korres promises. It is worth the higher cost because it truly quenches thirsty, parched skin .
