After using a complete bottle of Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo Plus Conditioner, it is clear the shampoo is all scent and no substance. In fact, I believe the shampoo leaves my hair feeling more dry than other lesser priced shampoo products out there. Hello Hydration by Herbal Essences brings a unique scent of coconut and orchid to the shower. Other than this difference, overall Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo Plus Conditioner is not a better shampoo than less expensive products available at your local supermarket.
I have very thick, wavy hair. To make matters worse, I am very "tender-headed" but cursed with an oily scalp. I had hoped Herbal Essences Hello Hydration would be a great solution to my haircare cleaning needs-- it advertises on the back of the bottle it is made to create "silky and supple hair" and a time saver since it is both shampoo and conditioner in one.
However, I should have read more closely as the last line states to "be mighty hydrated, add Hello Hydration Conditioner." Unfortunately, that did not seem to make a difference, as my hair was still dry and brittle when I was ready to comb it. Instead, the only way I could make the two-in-one combination work for my hair was to add a leave in conditioner after each shower.
One benefit of Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo Plus Conditioner is that it does not leave my hair heavy or greasy as many shampoo plus conditioner combinations are famous to do. Perhaps the shampoo works better on hair that doesn't really need a moisturizing solution, and provides the "silky and supple" qualities on normal coifs. Either way, my recommendation if you are looking for a solution to dry hair is to buy Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo Plus Conditioner for the unique tropical scent, but use a different conditioner or moisturizing product to fix your problem.
