Concealer
It's true that foundation isn't intended to cover up your skin. Rather it's meant to let your skin glow. But what about those times when you really do want to cover up a blemish or disguise dark cicrles under your eyes?
Enter concealer. This product is specifically designed to be a cover up. Concealer is waxy and is meant to stay in place. It sits on top of your skin. Be sure to use it sparingly, and only where you need more coverage.
You can use concealer either before or after you apply foundation. Most people use it before, but the choice is up to you. Experiment and find out what works best for you.
Concealer comes in a limited number of colors - usually light, medium, and dark. For darker skin, you'll find more variety. Apply the concealer lightly and sparingly with a sponge applicator or with a small brush. Use a stippling technique to make it look more natural. Strippling is sort of like applying lots of color that intersect with each other.
Don't apply concealer with your finders. As with foundation, the oil in your fingertips will alter the formulation and make it less effective, oilier, and less waxy, so the concealer won't stay in place and will tend to migrate.
