Antioxidant Steam Bath and Toner Recipe

This DIY recipe is highly moisturizing and rich in antioxidants. Use this recipe as a facial steam bath in the evening before bed. The steam will open the pores and fill them with moisture and antioxidants. Use the cooled version of this recipe as a toner in the morning before applying your moisturizer. Antioxidants are important to skin health because they combat free radicals caused by sun exposure. Free radicals cause premature aging in the form of wrinkles, sun spots and tough, thick skin.
1 bag Green Tea (preferably with pomegranate, raspberry, strawberry or blueberry
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup Pure Aloe Vera Juice (pure aloe vera juice is liquid, not gel)
1 tsp Honey
1 Large Towel
Steam Bath
1:Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and heat to a low boil
2:Remove from heat
3:Place a large towel over your head
4:Hold your face over the steaming pot with the towel placed so that it holds the steam in your headspace
5:Steam your face for 3 minutes
6:Cleanse and moisturize your skin immediately
7:Refrigerate the remaining tea infusion for use as a cool toner
Toner
1:Cleanse your skin
2:Apply the cooled tea infusion to your skin using your fingertips or a cotton ball
3:Follow with your favorite moisturizer
